Instacart, DoorDash and Gopuff Roll Out Short-Term Relief for SNAP Shoppers During Payment Pause

Time-limited offers with caps, eligibility checks plus fixed budgets provide a temporary cushion, not a replacement.

Overview

  • Instacart is offering active SNAP customers 50% off their next grocery order, up to $50, with discount codes sent to users who paid with EBT in October.
  • The Instacart offer is capped at 100,000 redemptions worth up to $5 million and runs through Nov. 30 or until the cap is reached.
  • Instacart is expanding its Community Carts to support more than 300 Feeding America food banks, with service and delivery fees waived on donated items.
  • DoorDash will waive service and delivery fees for roughly 300,000 orders for SNAP recipients in November and plans to deliver 1 million meals from food banks at no cost.
  • Gopuff will provide $50 in complimentary groceries during November to customers with a SNAP/EBT card linked to their account, committing up to $10 million to the program.
