INSS Weekend Drive Opens Nearly 19,000 Medical Exam Slots Nationwide

Overview

• The Ministry of Social Security plans 18,868 perícias across 92 Social Security agencies, with more than 13,000 already scheduled and roughly six thousand still open.
• Appointments must be booked by calling 135 or through the Meu INSS website or app, and applicants should attend at the set time and location.
• In the Federal District, 518 slots will be held at the Taguatinga and Planaltina agencies for BPC and temporary incapacity applicants, running 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
• In Piauí, 701 slots are available this weekend, with 365 in Teresina’s APS Centro and 336 in APS Parnaíba, offered in person or via Perícia Conectada.
• Officials say the concentrated effort is designed to shrink long queues for exams, with the Federal District alone reporting more than 22,000 people awaiting assessment.
