Overview

  • The INSS reports 6,240,775 contests filed by retirees and pensioners over unauthorized deductions.
  • Refunds cover charges from 2020 to 2025 and are deposited directly into benefit accounts with IPCA correction without court action.
  • Requests can be opened through the Meu INSS app or site, by calling 135, or at Correios branches, with 15 business days for the entity to prove authorization.
  • If no valid proof is presented, an automatic payment agreement is issued, which beneficiaries must accept via Meu INSS or at Correios to receive the credit.
  • Operation Sem Desconto spurred coordinated actions by INSS, AGU, CGU and the Federal Police, with courts blocking R$2.8 billion in INSS cases, R$3.5 billion in an AGU action, and R$500 million seized from one association.
