The hackers demanded a ransom of approximately $2 million, which Sony and Insomniac refused to pay, leading to the release of the stolen data.
Insomniac has issued a statement expressing their sadness and anger over the attack, and the emotional toll it has taken on their team. They also confirmed that development on Marvel's Wolverine will continue as planned.
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are reportedly sending Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notices to users who have downloaded the leaked early build of Marvel's Wolverine.
