Overview

  • On June 30, Rachel O’Hare, 49, fell from a fifth-floor Manchester apartment window and was pronounced dead with Greater Manchester Police ruling her death non-suspicious and excluding third-party involvement.
  • At the time of her death, O’Hare was embroiled in a legal battle with ex-fiancé Owen Pacey over their jointly owned £2.7 million Spitalfields mansion, accusing him of locking her out, refusing to pay bills and threatening to damage the property.
  • A survivorship agreement signed when they bought the London home in June 2021 transferred full ownership to Pacey upon O’Hare’s death, a clause he invoked despite her ongoing claims.
  • Pacey, who runs Renaissance London and has supplied antiques to clients such as Mick Jagger and Naomi Campbell, filed a defence denying he agreed to fund half of the purchase or restrict O’Hare’s access to their home.
  • The coroner’s hearing will examine the circumstances of her fatal fall and unresolved questions surrounding the property dispute and inheritance arrangement.
