Overview
- Sajmir Beca, 30, was sleeping in an industrial bin on Wellington Street around 3am on October 31 when it was collected by a Veolia refuse lorry.
- He was taken to University Hospital Coventry and died of his injuries on November 6.
- Senior coroner Anne Pember recorded multiple organ failure due to multiple crush injuries to the pelvis and lower limbs.
- Northamptonshire Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and have submitted a report to the coroner.
- Veolia expressed condolences, said the driver acted quickly, and warned about winter increases in people sheltering in bins as charity Project 16:15 confirmed Mr Beca was known to its service.
