• INPE reported that Chincha prison director Juan Herrera Rozas and the facility’s security chief received death threats, including videos showing pistols and ammunition sent to the director’s phone.
• According to the institute, the threats warned of attacks if the transfer proceeds for Edinson Pier Flores Pinto, alias Cabezón Pier, who is jailed for qualified homicide and aggravated robbery.
