Overview
- The 2026 theme is “Responsible public administration: transparency and reporting to society,” with submissions accepted from March 5 to May 5 at www.premioinnovare.com.br.
- Entries span six categories—tribunal, judge, Public Prosecutor’s Office, Public Defender’s Office, advocacy, and Justice and Citizenship—plus a CNJ track limited to transparency initiatives.
- CNJ submissions must be filed via the CNJ Boas Práticas portal by April 22 and will undergo preliminary selection by the CNJ plenary.
- The edition was launched at the Superior Tribunal de Justiça in Brasília with STJ president Herman Benjamin and retired STF justice Ayres Britto in attendance.
- Britto said the judiciary must account to the public and backed STF president Edson Fachin’s push for a code of conduct, while Benjamin stressed recruiting and fair pay to attract top jurists and described Innovare as a driver for scaling effective practices; 312 initiatives have been recognized across 22 editions, many later shaping public policy.
