  • In Roraima, 14 municipalities are under an orange alert for intense rain, with Caroebe under a yellow alert, as forecasts cite up to 60 mm per hour or 50–100 mm per day and wind gusts of 60–100 km/h.
  • INMET highlights risks of flash flooding, falling trees, power outages and lightning, and advises avoiding shelter under trees, not parking near transmission towers or billboards, unplugging electronics, and switching off the main breaker when possible.
  • Local notices extend beyond the North, with São Paulo’s Vale do Paraíba and the Baixada Santista under alerts for up to 50 mm of rain and gusts near 60 km/h, with heavier conditions expected over the weekend.
  • A separate advisory from National Civil Defense flags a strong storm risk for the South and parts of Mato Grosso do Sul between November 16 and 17, with INMET signaling a red-level hazard in the highest-risk area and the potential for an extratropical cyclone.
