Injured Workers Protest WSIB for Inadequate Benefits

Workers and advocates rally to demand better support as families struggle with poverty and income insecurity.

Injured Workers Action for Justice, the Industrial Accident Victims Group of Ontario Legal Clinic, and Justice for Migrant Workers are organizing a protest on September 27th, 2024.
The rally aims to highlight the inadequate benefits provided by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB), which are leaving injured workers' families in poverty.
Protesters will deliver empty school bags to symbolize the lack of support for the children of injured workers.
A Back to School Report Card will be presented to the WSIB, grading them with an F in several categories including return to work practices, income security, and access to justice.
The protest will take place at 200 Front St West, Toronto, Ontario, with both in-person and online participation options available.
