Injured Kansas QB Jalon Daniels Announces Return for 2024 Season

Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels, who has been sidelined with a back injury since September, announced he will return for another season.
Daniels was the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and had a dominant 2022 season, briefly emerging as a dark horse Heisman candidate.
Despite his absence, Kansas has managed a 7-3 overall record and a 4-3 conference record, making the team bowl-eligible.
Daniels' return is a strong statement ahead of the NCAA transfer portal window opening on Dec. 4, and he could be a coveted veteran QB if he entered the portal.
The Jayhawks could have one of the most experienced teams in the Big 12 next season if key leaders like running back Devin Neal, wide receiver Lawrence Arnold and cornerback Cobee Bryant return and join Daniels for 2024.
