Overview
- Microsoft announced on Wednesday that Infosys, TCS and Wipro have each expanded Microsoft 365 Copilot to more than 100,000 employees, taking the combined deployment past 300,000 seats in under six months.
- The expansion builds on 50,000-seat deployments first disclosed in December 2025 and shows the firms moving from pilot projects to broad, company-wide use of AI tools.
- All three firms reported high engagement: Infosys cited over 91% monthly active use, TCS reported 86% daily active use, and Wipro said more than 95% monthly activity with 7.5 million prompts per month.
- TCS and Wipro provided firm-level productivity claims, with TCS saying Copilot drove 20–25% gains in research and content work and Wipro estimating more than 250,000 full-time-equivalent days saved each quarter.
- Microsoft framed the milestone as part of wider Copilot growth to around 20 million paid seats worldwide and said the next phase will focus on embedding agents into core workflows under enterprise security, compliance and governance, a shift that could change how client work and internal tasks are organized.
