Infonavit Reaches 250,000 Homes in Bienestar Push, Hitting 20% of Six-Year Target

The institute shifts to direct construction to deliver standardized, near-service homes for low-wage workers.

  • Largest contract totals were reported in Veracruz (42,260), Tamaulipas (34,662), Yucatán (28,474), Tabasco (26,034), Sinaloa (16,151) and Quintana Roo (13,104).
  • Infonavit projects contracted units will exceed 300,000 by the end of 2025, which would represent roughly 25% of the six-year goal.
  • New units are at least 60 square meters with two bedrooms, living-dining room, kitchen, full bathroom, service area, green and recreation spaces, full utilities, and locations near schools, hospitals, workplaces and public transport.
  • Access requires at least six months in a job, earnings between one and two minimum wages, and no existing Infonavit mortgage, with an average unit price near 600,000 pesos.
