Infonavit Delivers First 80 Vivienda para el Bienestar Homes as CONAVI’s Second Registration Window Winds Down

The twin-track design targets workers via Infonavit credits, prioritizing vulnerable non-rightsholders through CONAVI's in-person vetting.

Overview

  • Infonavit began handovers at the Pomoca development in Tabasco, delivering 80 homes of about 60 m² priced near 600,000 pesos versus a market value above 1 million, with 51 sold in three days.
  • The institute set a cadence of 120 homes per month in Pomoca toward nearly 3,000 units and signaled upcoming deliveries in municipalities across Tabasco and in states including Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Michoacán, Morelos, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa and Yucatán.
  • Eligibility for Infonavit’s track was simplified to three core criteria—current employment, earnings of one to two minimum wages, and no prior home ownership—with credit access after six months of contributions; beneficiaries are being preselected and contacted directly.
  • CONAVI’s second in-person registration stage deployed about 50 modules across 25 states, with many local cutoffs around October 2, and provides an interactive map at pvb.conavi.gob.mx to locate sites and schedules.
  • Applicants to CONAVI present an ID, CURP and proof of address to receive a folio, after which requests are evaluated, preliminary lists are posted, and home visits verify socioeconomic information before selection.
