Influencer Indicted for Launching Firework into Berlin Apartment

Atallah Younes, a 23-year-old influencer, is accused of launching a firework into a Berlin apartment on New Year’s Eve, causing damage to the property.
The incident, captured in a now-deleted Instagram video, showed the firework flying through a window and exploding inside the apartment, which was occupied at the time.
Prosecutors have charged Younes with attempted severe arson, attempted dangerous bodily harm, and property damage, citing his actions as reckless and self-serving.
Younes was arrested on January 4 at Berlin’s airport while allegedly attempting to leave the country and remains in custody due to flight risk concerns.
The video garnered over six million views before its removal, sparking widespread condemnation; Younes has since apologized to the affected resident.
