Inflation Edges Up in Hesse and NRW in September on Food, Services

Regional data point to food-led, service-led pressure alongside divergent energy trends.

  • Hesse’s consumer prices rose 2.6% year over year in September, up from 2.4% in July and August, with a 0.2% monthly increase.
  • NRW’s inflation reached 2.3% year over year, the state’s highest rate this year, up from 2.0% in August.
