Overview
- This week (Oct. 4–6) Infinity Ward released trailers and developer posts that laid out DMZ’s systems, including the Hajin map, enemy tiers, mission types, and the Forward Operating Base.
- Hajin is a large Exclusion Zone split across former North Korean and South Korean areas with distinct POIs, 60 minor locations, vehicles with fuel limits, and a Russian zone slated for Season 2.
- Players will run PvPvE deployments where they drop in with loadouts, complete Orders, Side Ops and Dynamic Operations, loot materials and weapons, and must extract to keep rewards.
- The Forward Operating Base is a persistent hub that grows as you play and houses stations such as a 3D printer for crafting, a Gunsmith for attachments, a Vendor, a Boss Board for lieutenant intel, a stash, and a firing range.
- DMZ has a separate economy and meta progression that tracks levels 1–70, awards DMZ cash and crafting materials between runs, and will be available at Modern Warfare 4’s October 23, 2026 launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
