Overview

  • Emergency services received reports around 5:30pm Tuesday of a dog attack on Bolton St in Bateau Bay on the Central Coast.
  • Paramedics treated the infant for facial injuries before a CareFlight helicopter landed at nearby Pat Morley Oval to evacuate him.
  • The child was flown to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and was listed in stable condition.
  • The incident followed a Monday night attack in Raymond Terrace in which a Staffordshire Bull Terrier–Mastiff cross injured two adults and a boy, according to NSW Police.
  • Earlier in November, two dogs mauled a 66-year-old near The Entrance Club, leading to multiple leg surgeries at Gosford Hospital, with no enforcement outcomes reported in the coverage.
