Overview

• Inerac officially opened Europe’s largest Power-to-Liquid E-Fuels facility in Frankfurt-Höchst on June 3.
• The plant is designed to produce 2,500 tons of CO2-neutral fuel each year using renewable hydrogen and biogenic CO2.
• Its modular setup will supply synthetic kerosene, E-diesel and other products for aviation, maritime and chemical sectors.
• New EU rules require sustainable aviation fuel blends in all kerosene from 2025, starting at 2 percent and rising to 70 percent by 2050.
• Hessian Economic Minister Kaweh Mansoori called the launch a milestone for European energy independence, and Greens are pressing for a hydrogen cluster in Frankfurt to boost low-carbon air traffic.
