Overview
- The new Participant’s Guide is now available and explains the evaluation matrix with annotated examples of high-scoring essays from Enem 2024.
- Zero-score situations include total escape from the theme, seven or fewer authored lines, use of a foreign language, self-identification on the sheet, non–dissertative-argumentative format, and deliberate disrespect to the exam.
- Copied passages from the test’s source texts do not count toward the minimum line count, and recurring copying can lower the score or annul the essay if original writing falls to seven lines or fewer.
- Essays must be up to 30 lines with a proposal of social intervention that respects human rights, with violations affecting Competence 5 in line with the STF’s 2017 ruling.
- Each essay is graded independently by two raters and the final score is the average; 4,811,338 registrations are confirmed, and exams run on Nov 9 and 16 nationwide, with Belém, Ananindeua and Marituba on Nov 30 and Dec 7 due to COP30.
