• INE president Guadalupe Taddei said the Presidential Commission agreed to receive a formal technical opinion on required constitutional changes.
• INE will assemble the analysis after its mid-September recess, with delivery planned for the final weeks of September.
• Both sides agreed to create highly technical working tables to address operational priorities such as INE–OPLE coordination, fiscalization updates, protection of the electoral roll, and the timing of the 2027 judicial election.
• Taddei emphasized that discussions were respectful and that the institute’s autonomy and independence must remain intact.
• The General Council approved the annual rotation of commission presidencies for September 2025–September 2026 and formed a temporary Transparency Commission, while opening technical coordination with the Digital Transformation Agency on the biometric CURP and collaboration in searches for disappeared persons.
