INE Fines Five Parties 28.8 Million Pesos Over Improper Affiliations

  • The rulings followed analysis of 917 citizen complaints, with 546 found without impact or dismissed and sanctions applied in 259 cases.
  • Movimiento Ciudadano received a public admonishment for late parity reporting, following a separate 1 million‑peso fine recently confirmed by the Electoral Tribunal.
  • The council also approved the destruction and recycling of ballots and materials from the judicial election in coordination with Conaliteg.
