- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Indore Metro via video link from Bhopal on May 31.
- The 6 km Super Priority Corridor includes five stations named after notable women leaders and runs between Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Terminal and Super Corridor Station 3.
- Built at a cost of Rs 1,520 crore, this phase is part of a 31.32 km network planned to have 28 stations at an estimated Rs 7,500.8 crore.
- More than 26,000 passengers boarded on the second day, supported by free rides available through the first week of operations.
