Overview
- The trip, undertaken at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation, will be President Prabowo’s first visit to Pakistan, with the last Indonesian presidential visit in 2018.
- He will arrive with a high-level delegation that includes key ministers and senior officials.
- Scheduled engagements include delegation-level talks with Shehbaz Sharif and meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
- Discussions will span trade, investment, defence, health, information technology, climate change, education and culture.
- The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of Pakistan–Indonesia diplomatic relations, and several memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed.
