Overview
- Since 2023 the network is alleged to have sold 24 infants, including 15 transported to Singapore buyers
- Six infants aged two to three months were rescued in the mid-July operation, five bound for Singapore and one for Pontianak
- Investigators say suspects paid parents 11–16 million rupiah per baby and acquired others through alleged kidnappings
- Twelve individuals across West Java, Jakarta, Pontianak and Tangerang were arrested and linked to roles from recruitment to care and courier duties
- Rescued infants are receiving medical treatment and shelter while prosecutors coordinate with Interpol to trace children already sent abroad
