IndiGo to Launch Morning Delhi–Silchar Flight via Guwahati on September 20

It aims to ease longstanding travel hardships by integrating Assam’s Barak Valley more closely with the national air network

  • The service will depart New Delhi at 4:55 am, reach Guwahati by 7:40 am and land in Silchar at 9:20 am before returning from Silchar at 10:40 am and arriving back in New Delhi at 2:20 pm.
  • Operations are set to begin on September 20 with exact frequencies pending final approval on whether the flight will run daily or on a fixed weekly schedule.
  • Barak Valley Development Minister Kaushik Rai announced the details and thanked Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his role in securing the new link.
  • Silchar Airport officials have confirmed they are still awaiting confirmation from IndiGo and aviation authorities on the service’s regularity.
