IndiGo Rolls Out ‘Gesture of Care’ Compensation With ₹10,000 Vouchers for Early‑December Disruptions

The package sits outside DGCA payouts, with claims handled via secure email links or verified bank transfers with stated processing times.

Overview

  • Eligibility covers passengers scheduled from noon Dec 3 to end of day Dec 5, 2025 whose flights were delayed or cancelled within four hours of departure and ultimately delayed by more than three hours.
  • Each eligible traveler receives ₹10,000 as two ₹5,000 vouchers issued per passenger rather than per booking, with minors and infants covered through parents or guardians.
  • Eligible customers receive a secure voucher link by email, or within 24 hours after registering an email address with the airline.
  • Vouchers are single‑use, non‑transferable, valid for 12 months, can be used to book travel beyond the expiry date, and may be applied to add‑ons like seats, meals, or excess baggage without fare‑class or blackout restrictions.
  • Customers may instead request a direct bank transfer with required documentation, processed in 5–7 working days for Indian accounts or 10–15 days for international accounts, and this relief is in addition to DGCA‑mandated compensation.
