Overview

  • IndiGo began thrice-weekly nonstop flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam on July 1 and 2 using its first damp-leased Boeing 787-9 wide-body.
  • The airline has secured six 787-9s from Norse Atlantic Airways with three more due in October-November 2025 and the final two arriving in early 2026.
  • Codeshare agreements with Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic and Air France-KLM will enable connections from its European gateways to wider global networks.
  • IndiGo plans to induct Airbus A321XLR narrow-body jets by late 2025 or early 2026 to launch ten additional international destinations by March 2026.
  • The carrier leverages its 64% domestic market share and 400-strong fleet as a foundation for its ambition to become a truly global airline by 2030.
