Overview

• CBDT data show gross direct tax collections reached ₹13.92 lakh crore through October 12, up about 2.36% year on year.
• Refund payouts declined to ₹2.03 lakh crore, a drop of roughly 16% that lifted net receipts relative to last year.
• Net corporate tax collections totaled about ₹5.02 lakh crore, compared with ₹4.92 lakh crore in the same period a year earlier.
• Net non‑corporate receipts, including individuals and HUFs, rose to about ₹6.56 lakh crore from over ₹5.94 lakh crore a year ago.
• Securities Transaction Tax collections stood at ₹30,878 crore versus ₹30,630 crore last year, against a full‑year STT target of ₹78,000 crore for FY26.
