India's First Vande Bharat Sleeper to Start HowrahKamakhya Run Next Week as Timetable and Fares Go Public

Indian Railways has released full operating details for the Make in India train.

Overview

  • The overnight service is designated 27575/27576 with a roughly 14‑hour journey, departing Howrah at 18:20 and reaching Kamakhya at 08:20, with the return leaving Kamakhya at 18:15 and arriving Howrah at 08:15.
  • Operations are slated six days a week, skipping Thursday from Howrah and Wednesday from Kamakhya, with 13 scheduled halts including Bandel, Azimganj, Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri, New Cooch Behar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Rangiya.
  • The train is engineered for 180 km/h but will be capped at 130 km/h on this corridor due to track and safety constraints, according to official statements.
  • The 16‑coach rake comprises 11 AC 3‑tier, four AC 2‑tier and one First AC coach, with reported fares of ₹2,300 (3AC), ₹3,000 (2AC) and ₹3,600 (1AC) for HowrahKamakhya travel.
  • Indian Railways describes the sleeper as a fully indigenous set developed by BEML using ICF technology, with bogie, propulsion and control systems designed domestically.
