India's First Private Satellite Constellation Launched by Pixxel

Pixxel's Firefly satellites are the world's highest-resolution commercial hyperspectral satellites, offering five-meter resolution across 150 spectral bands.
The constellation aims to provide advanced earth imaging for applications such as climate monitoring, agriculture, and natural resource management.
This launch establishes Pixxel as India's first private company to operate a satellite constellation, with plans to expand to 24 satellites by 2027.
The satellites were launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket from California as part of the Transporter-12 rideshare mission.
Pixxel has secured over 60 clients, including NASA and the Indian Ministry of Agriculture, and raised $95 million in funding, with investors like Google and Lightspeed Ventures.
