India’s First Practitioner-Led Tri-Service ‘Ran Samvad’ Set for Aug. 26–27 at Mhow

The gathering will unveil three joint doctrines plus an updated TPCR to align capability priorities with tech-driven jointness.

Overview

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS Gen Anil Chauhan, Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh and Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi are slated to attend with senior MoD, DRDO and service leaders.
  • Rajnath Singh will release three unclassified joint doctrines covering multi-domain operations, special forces, and airborne and heliborne operations.
  • The updated Technology Perspective and Capability Roadmap will be issued to signal upcoming acquisition and R&D priorities to industry.
  • Sessions will focus on two tracks: the impact of emerging technologies on future warfare, and reforms to institutional training to accelerate technological absorption.
  • Operation Sindoor’s planning, execution and outcomes will be examined as a case study, while officials note the seminar was conceived earlier; the practitioner-led forum is planned as an annual rotational event with defence attachés from 17 countries attending.
