Overview
- The approved stretch covers 85.675 km, combining 30.22 km of at-grade widening with greenfield bypasses at Jakhalabandha (11.5 km) and Bokakhat (9.5 km).
- The government plans to abandon the existing two-lane road inside Kaziranga once the elevated section opens, incorporating the old alignment into the national park.
- The corridor’s alignment links NH-127, NH-129 and SH-35 and connects to three railway stations and three airports to bolster multimodal connectivity across Assam.
