Indianapolis Retains NFL Scouting Combine Through 2028

Overview

• The NFL and Visit Indy signed a two-year extension to keep the scouting combine in the city for 2027 and 2028, with the news revealed Jan. 21 by Pat McAfee.
• Indianapolis has hosted the event since 1987 using Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center, a setup the league describes as an exceptional evaluation environment.
• Visit Indy spent roughly 24 months pitching upgrades such as the Indiana Convention Center expansion and the new Signia by Hilton hotel during meetings in Indianapolis, New York and Berlin.
• The 2025 combine generated a record $9.26 million in economic impact and drew more than 30,000 visitors, according to local organizers.
• The 2026 event runs Feb. 23–March 2, with public programming Feb. 26–March 1 including a free NFL Combine Experience and an Inside Look at on-field drills.
