• Returning medalists were formally welcomed by the Wushu Association of India at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on July 9.
• Rajat Charak became the first athlete from Jammu & Kashmir to win gold at the Asia Cup and helped India claim three golds, three silvers and five bronzes.
• The 16-member squad prepared with a month-long foreign exposure camp in Jilin backed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Sports Authority of India.
• Dronacharya Awardee and national coach Kuldeep Handoo praised the athletes’ performances and highlighted Wushu’s growing profile in India.
• Preparations are now focused on intensified training and resource mobilisation as the team gears up for the Asian Games.
