- The Consulate General of India in Seattle released video of Consul General Prakash Gupta raising the Tricolour atop the 605-foot Space Needle with Mayor Bruce Harrell in attendance.
- King County and the cities of Seattle, Spokane, Tacoma and Bellevue issued official proclamations designating August 15 as India Day to honour the Independence Day celebration.
- A community reception at Kerry Park drew hundreds of Indian-American residents and featured cultural performances alongside remarks by Rep. Adam Smith, Chief Justice Debra L. Stephens, Port Commissioner Sam Cho and AP Diaz.
- Iconic regional venues—including Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, Westin Seattle and the Seattle Great Wheel—were lit in saffron, white and green, and flags were also raised at Tacoma Dome, Tacoma City Hall and local public safety headquarters.
