Overview
- January–April shipments reached 85.77 million kg even as unit values jumped 18.4% year-on-year to ₹292.09 per kg
- The value of early-year exports climbed to ₹2,505.28 crore from ₹2,120.52 crore in the same period last year
- North Indian teas accounted for 55.23 million kg of exports at ₹307.66 per kg compared with 30.54 million kg of South Indian teas at ₹263.95 per kg
- Fiscal 2024-25 exports rose 2.85% to 257.88 million kg with average unit prices up 12.65% to ₹290.97 per kg according to Tea Board data
