Overview

• Harsimrat Randhawa, a 21-year-old Mohawk College student from India, was fatally struck by a stray bullet while waiting at a Hamilton bus stop on April 17, 2025.
• The shooting involved an exchange of gunfire between a black Mercedes SUV and a white sedan near Upper James and South Bend Road, according to Hamilton Police.
• Police are conducting a homicide investigation and have called for dashcam and security footage from the area between 7:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on the evening of the incident.
• Stray bullets from the shooting also struck a nearby home, but no injuries were reported among the residents inside.
