Overview
- Central Railway will operate 296 of the trips, with Western Railway running 56, South Western Railway 22 and Konkan Railway 6, according to the Ministry of Railways.
- The festival specials began on August 11 and will be increased closer to Ganesh Chaturthi, which is observed from August 27 to September 6.
- South Western Railway issued revised timings for select services, including the SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Central express special and SMVT Bengaluru–Madgaon runs.
- MSRTC arranged about 5,200 additional buses to the Konkan between August 23 and September 7, and it reports 5,103 special festival buses are fully booked.
- The services cover the Konkan–coastal Karnataka corridor with halts such as Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi Road, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi and Surathkal, with bookings available via IRCTC, the RailOne app and PRS counters.
