Overview
- The services comprise four intra-state passenger and DEMU routes—Patna–Buxar, Danapur–Jhajha, Patna–Islampur, and Patna–Nawada—and three long-distance Amrit Bharat links to Delhi, Telangana and Rajasthan.
- Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate the trains from Patna via video conference, with Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary participating in the flag-off.
- East Central Railway will operate and maintain all seven trains, with most passenger services scheduled six days a week from October 1.
- The Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat will run weekly, departing Muzaffarpur on Tuesdays and returning from Charlapalli on Thursdays.
- Officials say the rollout will improve connectivity and support tourism, trade and employment, with the launches occurring weeks before Bihar’s assembly elections.
