Overview

• Effective from midnight of July 15/16, Bhopal and Jabalpur divisions are preparing first reservation charts eight hours before scheduled departures.
• Emergency quota applications can now be submitted one day in advance in these divisions to enhance transparency for urgent travel needs.
• First charts for trains departing between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. are prepared by 9 p.m. the previous day, while charts for other departures are finalized eight hours before departure.
• Provisions for the second reservation chart remain unchanged, with finalization typically occurring 30 minutes prior to departure.
• The mandate covers remote station charting and follows a successful Bikaner pilot as part of a phased, nationwide implementation after a July 10 Railway Board directive.
