Overview
- As of end-December 2025, Rs 2,03,138 crore of the Rs 2,52,200 crore Gross Budgetary Support had been spent, equal to 80.54 percent.
- Utilisation was 6.54 percent higher than at the same point last year, the ministry said.
- Category utilisation stood at 84 percent for safety-related works, 69 percent (Rs 76,048 crore) for capacity augmentation, with customer amenities at 80 percent (Rs 9,575 crore).
- The ministry said the expenditure plan is on track, suggesting FY26 targets are likely to be fully achieved.
- It also highlighted near-term service delivery, saying the Vande Bharat Sleeper is set for inauguration shortly.
