• E-Aadhaar authentication will be mandatory for Tatkal bookings on IRCTC’s website and mobile app starting July 1.
• Aadhaar-linked mobile OTP checks will be enforced for both online and counter Tatkal purchases beginning July 15.
• Authorized agents cannot book AC Tatkal tickets during the first 30 minutes of each booking window to ensure fair access.
• IRCTC deactivated over 24 million fraudulent or suspicious user IDs in the past six months as part of its anti-bot campaign.
• Passengers who link their IRCTC accounts with Aadhaar can add authenticated travelers to book up to 24 extra tickets per month.
