Overview

• From July 10, first reservation charts for all Mail & Express trains are prepared eight hours before departure
• Trains scheduled between 5 am and 2 pm will see charts released by 9 pm the previous evening
• The timing for second charts remains unchanged and final charts continue 30 minutes before departure
• The nationwide rollout follows a successful 24-hour pilot in Bikaner and a July 2 Railway Board directive
• Railway officials say the phased charting will improve passenger planning and aid coach deployment
