• INS Tir, INS Shardul and CGS Sarathi arrived at Port Victoria on September 1 as part of the First Training Squadron’s long-range deployment in the South West Indian Ocean.
• A Seychelles Defence Force band led a ceremonial welcome, with the Indian Navy’s Guard and Band parading onboard the visiting ships.
• Senior Officer Capt Tijo K Joseph is scheduled to meet Seychelles government dignitaries, SDF leadership and the Indian High Commission.
• The port call includes cross-deck visits, professional exchanges and training with SDF personnel, along with yoga sessions, band performances, sports fixtures and social outreach.
• The stop is the Indian Navy’s third port call to Seychelles in 2025 and aligns with broader regional outreach that recently featured a Passage Exercise with Saudi Arabia’s RSNF in Jeddah.
