Indian Navy Says It’s Ready as China Sends Submarines to Pakistan

The Navy is tightening anti-submarine plans, fast-tracking indigenous buys ahead of the Swavlamban 2025 showcase.

  • Pakistan is set to induct eight Hangor-class diesel-electric submarines under a $5 billion 2015 deal, with four built in China and four assembled in Pakistan, the first launched in April 2024 and two more in 2025.
