Indian National Sentenced to 7 Months in Singapore for Molesting Neighbor

Erakkodan Abinraj, 26, pleaded guilty to breaking into his neighbor's home and molesting a sleeping woman in her bedroom.

The incident occurred on September 22, 2024, when Abinraj entered his neighbor's condominium through the kitchen balcony early in the morning.
The 36-year-old victim, asleep in her bedroom with her husband, woke up to find Abinraj using his phone's flashlight and touching her underwear.
The victim's scream alerted her husband, who confronted Abinraj; the accused pleaded not to call the police and urinated in fear.
Abinraj initially denied touching the victim, claiming his phone had accidentally fallen on her, but later admitted to trespassing.
The court considered one count of molestation and one count of housebreaking in sentencing; the prosecution sought 6–8 months, while the defense cited personal hardships in requesting 7 months.
