Overview

• Held on October 12 at Narangi Military Station under Headquarters 51 Sub Area, the Veterans Swabhiman Rally brought together a large regional veteran community.
• Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya attended as chief guest and lauded veterans and Veer Naris for their service and sacrifice.
• Organizers extended special financial aid to Veer Naris and needy veterans, alongside mobility and medical equipment for physically challenged ex-servicemen.
• Stalls at the venue provided medical support, pension guidance, financial counseling, and skill development options to address practical welfare needs.
• Senior serving and retired officers, including Lt Gen Sanjay Malik, Maj Gen A K Sharma, Lt Gen R P Kalita (Retd) and Air Marshal Anjan Kumar Gogoi (Retd), joined a turnout reported at over 2,500 veterans.
