Indian Army Names CAATS Centre of Expertise for RPAS and Combat Air Manoeuvre at First Combined Passing Out Parade

The parade showcased manned–unmanned teaming through a multi-domain combat aviation demonstration.

Overview

  • On November 21 in Nashik, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth reviewed the Combat Army Aviation Training School’s combined Passing Out Parade.
  • The ceremony marked the first simultaneous graduation of the Combat Army Aviators Course, the Army Helicopter Instructor Course and the inaugural Combined Internal Pilot and Observer Course.
  • A combat aviation display integrated helicopters, RPAS platforms, hexacopters, infantry elements and armoured assets to illustrate coordinated operations.
  • Lt Gen Seth stressed that aviators’ skill and judgment decide outcomes and urged strict situational awareness, procedural discipline, respect for aircraft and uncompromising mission safety.
  • Leaders credited CAATS with advancing Manned–Unmanned Teaming and modern training infrastructure, and individual honours went to Capt Ajit Singh, Capt Kushal Sharma and Maj Paramveer Singh Shekhawat.
