Overview
- Issued documents seek up to 45 Low Level Light Weight Radars (Enhanced) and up to 48 Air Defence Fire Control Radar–Drone Detectors, plus an RFP for 10 Low Level Light Weight Radars (Improved).
- The LLLR-I is a 3D AESA surveillance radar specified to detect targets out to 50 km, track more than 100 simultaneously, and operate across mountain, desert, high-altitude, and coastal terrain.
- The LLLR-E adds an electro‑optical tracking system and a passive RF sensor to pick up low‑RCS drones, including swarms, with targeting data transmitted to weapon systems up to 10 km away.
- The ADFCR-DD combines search and track radars, fire-control and IFF on a single vehicle, directing at least two L/70 or successor guns while feeding targeting to VSHORADS units.
- All systems are planned for integration into the Akashteer air defence network to speed target detection, prioritisation, and engagement as the effort advances through the RFI/RFP phase.
